One day before the opening, WhiteHat Grand Prix 2017 has accepted the registration of more than 300 teams from 46 countries around the world. Following the host country of Vietnam, Russia, USA and South Korea are the countries with the most teams registering for participation.
WhiteHat Grand Prix 2017 will officially begin at 9 am tomorrow (December 16, 2017) and will last for 24 hours on the WhiteHat WarGame system. Mr. Nguyen Huu Cuong, Head of the Organizer of WhiteHat Grand Prix 2017, said: "The infrastructure, human resources, support channels for the competition are ready. The organizer has also practiced the predicted situations. With a growing number of teams and the presence of big CTF names in the world, WhiteHat Grand Prix 2017 promises to be a very interesting competition".
This year, WhiteHat Grand Prix 2017 has the cooperation between Bkav and the Authority of Information Security (Ministry of Information and Communications), the state management agency for information security and the Vietnam cyber security community. The first prize is worth VND 225 million. The competition is continuous for 24 hours, from December 16 to December 17. Teams will compete in the form of Jeopardy, solving Web Exploit, Reverse, Pwnable, Forensics and Crypto challenges. Starting on November 28, teams could register online to participate at the address: GrandPrix.WhiteHatVN.com.
