Bkav Corporation has successfully organized WhiteHat Grand Prix 2016. This is the second time Bkav has held a cybersecurity contest on a global scale. After 24 hours of competition (from 9:00 am December 17 to 9:00 am December 18), Taiwan maintains their champion, Vietnam teams win the second and third prizes.
Mr. Nguyen Huy Dung - Deputy Director of Authority of Information Security, Ministry of Information and Communications says: "I would like to congratulate the teams attending WhiteHat Grand Prix 2016. I am very excited when the contest over the years has been expanded in scope, scale, number of teams. This affirms Vietnam's reputation in the world in the field of information security".

In order to attract a large number of international teams to participate, it must be big competitions organized by the countries which have the highest level of science and technology in the world. Therefore, the fact that Vietnam can organize the cybersecurity competition on a global scale as WhiteHat Grand Prix is considered a special thing.
WhiteHat Grand Prix 2016 witnesses the competition of more than 500 teams from 52 countries around the world. With the theme of Discovering Vietnam, the participating teams have the opportunity to enjoy many delicious dishes, typical for all regions of Vietnam such as Pho Hanoi, Bun Bo Hue, Banh Xeo, etc. as successfully solving a challenge. This year's competition recognizes the efforts of Vietnamese teams. Sometimes, Vietnam rises to the top position. In the top 10, there are 5 Vietnamese teams, in which CLGTftMeePwn and BabyPhD rank 2nd and 3rd, winning VND 45 million (equivalent to USD 2,000) and VND 25 million (equivalent to US 1,000) respectively. The 1st Prize, worth VND 225 million (equivalent to USD 10,000), belongs to WHGP 2016’s champion, 217 from Taiwan.

Sharing about the organization of the contest, Bkav’s Vice President of Cyber Security, Mr. Ngo Tuan Anh says: "We have prepared for this year's competition since June, 6 months ago with the participation of nearly 100 cybersecurity professionals and technical support teams in building challenges, contest system, infrastructure. WhiteHat Grand Prix 2016 consists of 35 challenges, increasing by a half compared to last year. This creates excitement right from the beginning and increases the chances of successful solutions for the teams ".
WhiteHat Grand Prix was first held in 2014 and expanded globally from 2015. It always attracts the participation of the world's leading play teams.
